If it makes you feel better, when I put the Bilstien's on I installed the fronts in the rear first, didn't realize it until I installed and unbundled the front and saw I only had a couple inches of shaft showing.
That does make me feel better.

I've been over the instructions again. I just don't see how I was supposed to figure this out. If you hadn't been so dogged in your determination to find the specs, I never would have known I got it wrong.

What a pain in the balls.

halfway there.

looks like the over rider brackets wont clear the bumper brackets.
Fingers crossed the JK winch brackets line up.

It’s on, still have to work on winch brackets. Had to remove both parts of the overrider brackets.
No where near as pretty up close, frame horns show on top.

JK winch brackets are a no go. Gonna have to fab something up later.

Update for whoever runs into this. I was able to make the winch brackets work by using a combo of longer bolts and spacer/bushings. Because you flip the brackets behind the winch plate, it’s a 1.5” difference instead of 2”.

Used:
4x 3/8x3” bolts with hex nuts, washers, and lock washers
4x 3/8x1/2x1.5” Steel Spacers

My jeep is having this exact bumper installed right now and I trying to plan ahead in how to best fix the inevitable rubbing issue on my 35's. I've found someone here on the forum who is selling 3/8in spacers to put between the frame horns and bumper. Do you think that would offer enough clearance for tires as opposed to a full 2in DV8 spacer? I also plan to run 37's after these tires run out and would hate to have to do it all twice LOL.

Jeep btw is a JLUR with the TF 2/1.5in leveling kit installed and Falcon 2.1 shocks (2-3in shocks cuz I got a good deal)

Doubt 3/8" is enough, the 2" couldn't handle 37s.

I ended up swapping to the stubby. I'd stop the install if you can. I have relatively conservative offset (+18mm).

Thanks for the info, stopping the install isn't really an option :( I guess I'll have to join the hindsight club when I roll to 37's and just buy a different bumper 🤦‍♂️
