I just wrapped up my install of a Clayton Off Road Overland Plus lift kit on our Wrangler 392, and I've got to say it has not only increased the look and function of the 392 but also the overall driveability of it! I went with their 2.5" lift kit which was technically designed for a Diesel Rubicon as far as spring rate etc. Now I should say, the 2.5" Lift rating is based off of a regular Rubicon, not a 392. So we weren't sure how much height we would actually gain over stock on a 392. In the end, this kit ended up netting me 1" in total height, and there was about a 1.5" gain at the front of the 392. I am being told they will have the 392 specific kit listed on their website this week. I kept the stock Fox Shocks because I like the bronze and am trying to keep the 392 specific parts on it for now. Also, I am running on 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers with the stock wheels.

If you are interested in the install process you can check out my video here:

Here's the pic I used for the video cover so you can see the stance:

Fantastic video, really shows what you can do with the 392. Iā€™ve got to go back and watch the brake update video too, somehow I skipped that one. Keep up the great content šŸ‘šŸ¼

Looks good! Thereā€™s still no complete kit out yet correct?
They do have a full 392 specific kit, it will be listed on their website this week... hopefully tomorrow!

Thatā€™s awesome. Is this kit still only going to gain an inch?

How did the drivability improve? Softer ride better handling?
It tightened up the handling. I felt like the 392 doesnā€™t know what it wants to be, the motor is like a sports car but the brakes and suspension/handling were lacking. This lift kit with the stiffer dual rate springs tightened it up so I donā€™t feel like Iā€™m going to lose control on an on ramp. It accomplished this while maintaining a comfortable ride that I would road trip cross country.

And FYI I'm local to Clayton and they are in the process of moving to a new facility that is HUGE compared to there old facility.

Awesome I looked on the website Iā€™m guessing itā€™s not listed yet?
Yeah, I talked to them yesterday and they said it will be live this week.

Hmmm, Iā€™ll have to put the Clayton lift on my list. I noticed in your video you did a brake kit. Iā€™m hoping theyā€™re not to bad. I ordered the 392 for my wife and she likes to complain that the brakes in my 3/4 ton silverado suck. Hopefully their better than that. šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬šŸ˜¬ keep the videos coming.
