Hello! Looking to tap the cargo cigarette power socket without removing all the trim. Has anyone pulled the pulled the socket out using a Cigarette Lighter Removal Tool to access the wiring? Also wondering if bent nose pliers might do the trick. Thanks!

Used one of those tools to swap my front power outlet for the Mopar trailer brake controller- not sure if the rear one is the same. The tool didn't really work too well, and ended up kinda mangling it to get it out. I would suggest pulling the trim panel instead- shouldn't be too difficult

Panel pops off incredibly easy, would be easier and less likely to break socket

Definitely easier to just pull the trim.

I received that exact harness as a Christmas gift. I'm still wondering if I can gin up a use case for it.
I used one to add some rear interior lighting, and another to add some 12 volt outlets to the top of the dash. I love doing wiring but these are like cheating.

I too am having issues getting to the Cig Outlet. I tried to pull this trim and my god was it stuck there. I do not want to scratch or break anything…anyone have a link to a video showing this removal? I’ve searched all over and can find plenty of videos talking about it but not showing the process. Thanks

I hooked mine into a buck converter to get 5v for a USB cable I ran to the top of the dash to power a MagSafe phone mount puck.
