Christmas lights in Jeep

I feel like I need a tutorial. This is great!!

But for real... how do you all do this?

someone posted a link to a power inverter from Amazon upthread which I used. Plugged into front 12V outlet in the dash and placed the inverter under the front seat. It goes on and off automatically when you start the Jeep. There’s a small switch that you can reach down and turn it off if you want.

To string the lights I used a combo of Velcro ties and these 3M clips:

I bought this one from Amazon. Just plugs right into 12v plug. If you use the dash plug, you know it will be off when you turn your jeep off.

Buy some Gaffer tape it sticks and holds like duct tape but does not leave any residue at all

I Just wrapped it around the cage. Some spots were tight to the roof, so i just took the roof off momentarily.

For me, I didn't know if the command brand hooks would be strong enough, so I got some larger adhesive cable ties for 2 spots.

We ended up using gaffer tape it worked great stuck like duct tape with no residue. And it holds very well

I did mine today too!
I rapped rope around the tire and zip tied lights to it.
We'll see how long it last I guess since zip ties are kinda brittle when cold

How do you get the plug inside the car to power the lights? Do you just shut them in door? That doesn’t seem safe for the wire.

There is a vent behind the spare tire where you can pass the wire through

Some added items on my Jeep. Now have a Christmas wreath that has lights with timer and added additional lights inside as well. So now there are lights on each bar inside. We have had several complements on them.
