So it seems to be fixed. No lite dash lights. They also apartment my updated software to the latest version. I unmarried and removed my Tazer before taking it in. I notice different messages in the Stop/Start status menu that I never noticed before.

Also on the way home from the dealership there was another message that I’d never noticed before “Stop/Start not ready battery charging”. Maybe these aren’t new (I’ve had Stop/Start disabled for a long time using the Tazer), but they’re new to me.
Did it just not say anything before?

Here’s the service ticket. Note that I absolutely did NOT request the V41 steering damper recall be performed. I was annoyed about that because I replaced the steering stabilizer the first week of ownership, I told them that if they’d performed that recall they were going to have to buy me a new Fox steering stabilizer and put it back on. They hadn’t. Maybe wrote it up as being performed so as to be able to bill FCA for the part and labor? I dunno.

It’s been so long. I don’t remember ever seeing the message about battery charging, seatbelt unbuckled, or cabin cooling and heating before.

And it’s back at the dealership again. Same thing: MIL, airbag, start/stop, and FCW lights on the dash. We’ll see what they tinker around with this time. If this were my daily driver that I relied on to be able to take me places when I need to go somewhere I’d probably be pissed.

So I got my Jeep back today. I think we’ve got it figured out and fixed, and it is my own fault not Jeep’s.

The tech discovered that the wiring harness underneath the passenger seat was damaged by.... wait for it.... my installation of my ARB twin compressor. There’s a harness that was pinched between the underside of the seat bottom and the top of the compressor. When I installed the compressor and air lines late last year it didn’t cause an issue because I seldom have a passenger and the compressor wasn’t running. I got it wired up the week before Memorial Day weekend and went wheeling for 2 days. During that time there was always a passenger and I ran the compressor - vibrating - quite a bit. The vibration on the pinched wiring harness is what apparently caused the wear through the insulation causing a short. The dealership techs repaired the wires and rerouted them to not be in the way. I think they charged me quite a bit for a relatively easy repair, but dealerships stay in business by overcharging stupid people for stupid things. This time it was me.

One of the reasons I had hoped Artec would make a 2 door skid is that they replace the existing fuel skid as well as the little "arm" skids. Saves more weight and maybe a bit more clearance?

Look forward to your review. :like:

Why give you money to do something that I can do myself easily. Except for the bleeding pinky knuckle scrape (not bad), pinched ring fingertip (slightly sore), hammer smashed index fingertip (didn’t even turn purple), and stubbed right pinky toe (hurts like being hit by a truck for 15 minutes, then it’s cool) because I’m wrenching barefoot and smashed it into my floor jack. I seriously did all those things in the hour and a half I spent taking off the stock parts. :CWL:

Installing the new parts will hopefully be easier. The worst part was getting the straps between the tank and the skid and that wasn’t too bad because I’ve got maybe 1-2 gallons in the tank
