They built Chief 4xe's!? Wow, lucky!!!
It was a very limited run for the first few months of being able to pre-order them. Even though it's still listed on the configurator of the website, you can't actually order it any more so I'm super lucky 🍀

So there may not be many more of us to add for now, but we just picked up a JLUR 6-speed manual this week and love it. We're now a two Jeep family. We're not going too crazy with the build on this one, 2.5" Teraflex lift and 35 Trail Grapplers to be installed before the end of the month.

Curious if anybody else in the chief blue club has a Rubicon with a stick? Sales guy claims it was the only manual Rubicon in chief blue that Jeep made, but I can't see that being true.

Was wanting this color so badly. My local dealer had a dealer trade all worked out and they got there only for it to be sold out from under them. My local dealership continued to search and located another Willys edition in transit to a dealership over 5 hours away. So after about 2 weeks of working with my local dealership they were able to make the second dealership trade work out.

I am so in love with this Jeep. However, my '77 CJ5 will always be my first love. She is my cruising around town Jeep and my new JLU is my daily driver.

Great look, we found one very similar and just couldn't let it go.

Definitely would have been one more had I been able to get my order in on time.... ;)

It could be. This color was very rare. I still have yet to see a single other two door in Chief here in AZ, Rubicon or not. Ordering half doors for ours next week, sucks they're $4k + paint though. Likely will swap the 392 into it (two door) in the fall.

It's amazing the number of comments that are made about the color. We're pretty happy we decided to travel to get what we wanted.

How's the ride on those MTR's?

Hi Ray,

How's the ride on those MTR's?
I really haven't driven it since bringing it back from the shop that did the lift. The front driveshaft is out, and I'm waiting to replace both driveshafts before driving it much. (I'm also waiting on the correct links for the rear sway bar before doing much highway driving.)

I have the MT/Rs on our Bronco. They are a great tire. Pretty stiff sidewall; but, other than that they have been a great tire. This is our third set.

Glad you pulled the trigger !

And yes, it's insane how many people come up to you and talk about the color. Loving ours! Still stock (for now) :)

Did you get the only EcoDiesel in Chief in existence?

Love to see that Chief blue out there! My build reached its next big milestone recently. AEV 2.5" Dualsport diesel lift, AEV Salta XR wheels, and 35" BFG KO2's. Also some LoD aluminum sliders with steel skids. Not sure how those will hold up but they look and work great. Rubicon trip planned for next week so I will report back then.
