Hey does anyone know of any shops in the Chicagoland area that I can take my jeep to get it regeared? I would prefer to keep all Mopar parts so that I do not void my warranty. Also would I be better of going to the dealer?
Do you have lockers? If so, I would probably think about bringing it to the dealer. There's a known issue of the locker sensors failing and jeep replacing the entire axle because of it. If you were to get it regeared at an aftermarket shop, I'm not sure they would want to replace the axle if you need to.
Does the dealer even regear though? I would be surprised if they did. I'm not an expert though!
