While i'm in love with my brand new Wrangler (very first one, i'm still like a kid), I must admit I always had a soft spot for the Cherokee XJ.

I know regulations changed and making a full-blown XJ would be impossible in 2021. But between you and me, cancelling the XJ to make some room for the Liberty was one of Jeep's worst decision ever.

People nearly fist fight over XJs that are in good condition when they go on sale. Had the opportunity to see two blokes who went nuts over it during an auction: the car was sold for...29 000 $CAN. That's an insane amount of money for a 20+years old truck.

So, would you jump on a 2021 version of an boxy XJ?

I think i'd do something very stupid...

I had a '97 XJ for a few years. Well-equipped 2Dr Sport with Up Country suspension, 4.0 5spd.
I damn near gave it away. Literally every last component that had a fluid leaked like a sieve. Plus all the other well-known XJ problems.

I hope my JL turns out better. ;)
