Center Console Safe: Tuffy vs Lock'er Down

Trying to get feedback on Tuffy vs Lock'er Down center console safes. The tuffy is half the price, but is it as good?

Had Tuffy in my JK and it was great, never had Lock'er Down so cannot speak on that behalf.

Had tuffy glove box in my JK, wish they would make one for the JL, and I have the tuffy center console in my JL. Solid products, would recommend.

I have the Tuffy safe. Really like it. It was a pain to install. Had to contort my arms in ways that were tough for an old fat guy. But it is rock solid and would be a good deterrent.

I bought the cheap clone off amazon, and it is great. I also bought a combo cam lock for it to ditch the key.

Personal opinion, but I do NOT think the Lock'er down is worth the price. The one I installed is simply a tuffy clone. (hell they are all made in the same place)

From what I've seen of the Tuffy, it looks like it has a thick top with 4 mounting legs and no sides. Is that correct?

+1 for the Tuffy. I had a couple of their products in a TJ. They were clunky but tough.

I put the center console in my JL, just a few weeks ago in fact, and it's a solid piece. I keep well over $1M in cash and jewelry in mine and feel completely comfortable.

Agreed. I installed mine in March and it has been phenomenal. I couldn't imagine not having it. One of the best purchases I've made. The install on the other hand definitely included some four letter words
