For anyone swapping their center console lid, you may find that you'll need to swap the lock cylinder. I saw several posts asking about how this is done but didn't see any answers. This quick write up assumes you have been able to find the many posts regarding lid removal, so we'll start there.

Tools needed are a T20 torx and a small flat screwdriver:

1) Remove the lid.
2) Remove the plastic trim plate under the lid. This pops out with little force.
3) Remove the six T20 torx screws holding the latch assembly in place.
4) Insert key into lock cylinder and turn it to the "locked" position.
5) Depress the cylinder tab that is exposed on the underside, and continue to rotate the lock cylinder with the key.
6) Slide cylinder out with all tabs now depressed.

Awesome write up....but, I am stuck on the last part, where you depress the cylinder tab and then slide the mechanism out....I will get there...LOL. I have the Katzkin seats that came from the factory, I didn't know that when I got those, I did not get the red stitched dash and center console so I am in the process of switching them out.

Make sure you rotate as you slide it out!

I think where I am having the issue is, where is the 3rd exposed tab? I see the two on the sides that move in and out. There is a plastic tab on the cylinder that when I spin the key, the plastic tab slides into the opening on the side....I cant push that plastic tab in, it is solid, not able to be depressed. If that makes sense
