2021.08.22: Driving home from work and get another CEL. My partner says radiator fan sounds very loud when he gets outside.

Torque pro says:

End of report.

She still drivers ok though.

2021.09.01: drop her off at whitten brothers in the morning then catch a ride to pickup my steady reliable 4th gen Camaro, V6 3800.

2021.09.02: 2nd day she's in the shop
1436: text from the tech saying she needs a turbo and a DPF. And it will take a few weeks. Update: The turbo is leaking oil into the engine.

Picking up a loaner today.

Pretty bummed.

At the dealer right now
Turbo is leaking oil into the intake. Turbo is definitely getting replaced. No ETA as of yet.
Oil separator will more than likely get replaced., pending the upcoming exploratory surgery.
Dpf got plugged because of oil getting into it. They'll look at that, if it can be fixed with a regen, they'll do that, otherwise they'll replace that too.

How many miles?
In town driving, highway, or even combination?
Who has performed the oil changes?
What oil was used?
Factory filter?
Do you idle it some at shut-down?
Was the oil level low? How low was the oil?

Just curious.

I'm thinking you lost a seal on the compressor side and it started drinking the oil. Then that fubar'ed your DPF. I would have liked to see an oil analysis. I'd wonder if it wasn't dusted to some extent as well. Tons of silica in the oil could help destroy a seal in the turbo. Or it could have just been a luck of the draw type thing. Simple as not getting the air filter closed in there right.

23kish miles
Mostly highway but maybe a mix
Every oil change and preventative maintenence done on time at the same dealership. Oil was almost needing to be changed.
I do let it cool down for a minute after highway driving.

Hoping it won't be long but they said it would probably be a few weeks
