Hey everyone, I am from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is my first Jeep but definitely not my first rig. I've owned a Tacoma and 4runner previously. I'm extremely excited to slowly build it as I go and add mods when necessary. I'm going to use this thread to document my build. Cheers

A few days after purchasing, the family and I went on a day trip to North Harrison Lake. Did some fun rock crawling, light beach trails and settled down for a quick lunch and a drive home after. Good times.

My all weather Mopar Jeep floor mats arrived and I couldn't wait to install them. Side note, the rubber drain hole grommet that is underneath the carpet cut out on the driver and passenger side, I left mine in. I purchased 2 additional drain hole grommets from the dealership and used those to seal the front passenger and driver mats. Now I have a piece of mind everything is sealed tight. I love these mats, unreal!

Update: Probably going to bite the bullet on a pair of Oculus Bi-Led headlights, still doing some research. Haven't updated my build thread in a bit, been so busy with life. Good news is, got an opportunity to enjoy my Jeep with some friends this weekend and get some wheeling and camping in!

Have not had a chance to just yet due to a wedding and other responsibilities, hoping to do it this week. Should be pretty straight forward, remove fender liner, don't worry about broken plastic clips haha, a bunch of bolts to remove from the led fender assembly and then a nice swap out after that.

Thread update:

Have not had a chance to install my Mopar fender led lights yet, been super busy with kids sports and life in general. However, an easier install to do was my Mopar headliner that I ordered to hopefully get some cabin noise down and aesthetically add some color to the hardtop. Install was super easy, took about an hour, did not have to remove the hardtop at all, just be smart with it. I made sure to wipe and clean everything with alcohol well since I wanted the product and velcro to adhere properly. It's actually pretty amazing how dirty with shavings of fiberglass and dust the hardtop had, if you haven't wiped yours down since buying it new I would highly recommend, microfiber was filthy. Here are some pictures, so far, very happy with my decision and love the look. I will get to the fender lights this coming Sunday!

I installed a set of Rugged Ridge door guards, finally arrived from Amazon and on Father's Day! Install was easy, make sure to wipe down door sills with rubbing alcohol. Overall, happy with the fit and finish. Looks OEM to be honest with you. Step by step I am slowly making my JL my own and slowly working towards my goal of building an overland rig.

Finally, after 4 weeks of being busy with life/work/kids ect.. I was able to install my mopar factory LED fender lights today with my son Noah. He's 9 years old and just how much he wants to help out and wrench with me, always gets me as a Dad, it makes me so proud. Anyways, Install was super easy other then 2 plastic clips completely broken, nothing that can't be replaced. I'll grab some clips from the parts department later on this week. I watched one youtube video just to get an idea of what I was working with, took about 3 hours everything said and done. Extremely worth it, Super happy with them. For my birthday in September I will be getting Bi-Led Oculus headlights to finally get rid of my candle sticks lmao. All in all, a huge difference and a great day spent with my kids wrenching in the garage.
