CavFab 22 Diesel JLU Shop Build

Over the years we have owned a handful of different shop rigs that we use to design, test, and fit parts. We originally started in the JL scene with a 2018 Rubicon which we enjoyed thoroughly for 3 and a half years before selling it off. It was fully outfitted with a ton of our first run of JL parts. We then transitioned over to a JT (which we still have) but realized there was a void in being able to continue to test JL specific parts. So, we picked up this Hydro Blue 22 Diesel JLU Rubicon.

This again will be basically a demo rig for us, as well as a vehicle that we will rely on for wheeling / road trips. Being able to drive cross country and wheel while also remaining practical (as possible) and comfortable. You'll find some sneak peaks of new products we have coming out here as we use this rig to fit / test new designs we plan to bring to market.

Gotta start somewhere, right? Nothing like a fresh slate :P

Parts accumulation is already pretty far along. Hodge-podge suspension as we work on developing our own arms. 3" setup with RK arms.

Pictured here is a handful of our parts (Bumpers, inners, tire carrier, inner fenders, etc), and our wheels back from powder coating. Should all pair very nicely with the 38" Nittos

Interested in how high of lift you ordered? I went with Nitto 38/12.50/17 Ridge Grabblers with a 2.5” spring suspension but not sure how the 2.5’s will work with my 38’s. I don’t have all the pieces to my suspension so waiting seems to be the norm now.
I ordered your tire carrier last Saturday and it looks like a 1 to 2 week wait as well.
I’ll be ordering bumpers soon but I still need to do more research before I pull the trigger. My stock bumper is plastic but has the LED lights in it. Does your front stubby bumper accept the stock plastic bumper LED’s?

Looking forward to your build and perfect timing as I’m starting mine as well.

edit: I reread your post saying you’re running a 3” suspension.
Since mine’s a 2 door, I’m hoping to net 3”.

Yes, your LEDs can transfer over to our bumper.

We have the suspension in and are now finishing up the install of newly designed inner liners.
