Anyone else notice CarPlay losing its connection. The CarPlay app constantly quit the connection (mainly when I am on a call) but then will generally reconnect itself (but not always).

My CarPlay isn't working with my iPhone 6 at all. It just says not supported when plugged in.

I had to get a better quality cable as the cheap adapter I was using was causing the same issue. The instructions guide mentioned it will likely only work with the USB cable that came with the phone.

All have to try the apple cable today. I was using a nicer cable than a factory apple. The problem with mine is the first time it recognize the phone had my crap on the uconnect screen but wouldn't work. I then disconnected it for a retry and got nothing.

Hi blightle,

Please send us a direct message with your VIN. We'd be glad to look further into this and if necessary, escalate to a Uconnect Case Specialist.

My CarPlay works perfectly. I did not synch my phone to the JL's bluetooth. I found in previous cars that when it's connected to bluetooth and CarPlay, it gets confused. What phone and iOS are you using?

Mine works great as well. I did get an Anker cable. It could be the iOS. There were some issues with iOS 11x, but since Iā€™ve been running iOS 11.2.5/6 all previous issues have been resolved with my Toyota Entunes. Iā€™ve been on iOS 11.2.5 since Iā€™ve had my Jeep and have not had a single issue.

Your cable needs to be replaced or your lighting port cleaned out. I have been using CarPlay for over a year and a half. It happens.

Update: I had a new factory Apple cable still in my iPhone box and started using it. So far, no issues but I have not been on any lengthy calls to see if the problem is fully resolved. Will continue to monitor but maybe it was my cable as someone else in the thread suggested. Thank you

Itā€™s happened to me. I just switch USB ports (center console) for a few days. It can also be a bad cable.

most likely just a connector contact issue, after I spray my usb cables (both ends), and iphone charging port with electrical contact cleaner (non-residue) the problem resolves itself.

My CarPlay on brand new Rubicon 4xe 2021, frequently disconnects after using for 5-10 minutes. I have to unplug and plug it back again to reconnect. I have uConnect 8.4". Anyone facing the same issue?

Have the same CarPlay issue...trip from SC to Ohio, it disconnected in NC. Would not charge or connect to CarPlay the rest of the day. I got home, unpacked and 45 min later ran to grocery store and it connected perfectly.
I tried several different cables, center console all failed. I believe it to be a UConnect system issue, nothing but a pain since I got the Jeep...it's always something!
