at belt latch has a piece of carpet (or something like that). The drivers side does not. Do all wranglers have this? Does anyone know what this is for?

I think it's a $,3995 option that you paid for.

J/K, it's there to keep the seatbelt from scratching the center console.

Both of my seatbelts have it, but the drivers side one keeps trying to come off. I want to rip it off, but I keep thinking it serves a purpose.

My 2018 JLUR did not have this on either seatbelt. My 2021 JLR does On both.

Must be new for '21... My '20 (late '19 build) does not have it. Would have been nice, as my console is scratched all TF.

My 2021 has them too… it’s like Velcro. Driver side pealing off too.

At first I thought it was packaging that dealer forgot to remove, but then I realized it was probably to protect from scratching.

It seems like such an afterthought or a primitive patch up.

Then again, a lot on my JL compared to my JK seems more fragile… I keep worrying I’ll break my JL… I never even thought twice with my JK. I attribute it to the fact it’s more high tech and softer materials.

I still really like my JL.

Seems random and not related to model year. I’ve got a 2018 with those on both front belt receivers.
