No, in all seriousness it just looks surface, start with a microfiber and waterless cleaner. Should buff right off.

I would try scratch x by Mcguires before compound. It is less aggressive so won't have to worry as much about going through Clear coat

The Meguiars is actually less aggressive than Scratch X. Trust me, I've been detailing cars for years.

Scratch x is less aggressive. Even marketed by Mcguire as so. It also depends on the type of pad you use. I used ultimate compound to buff out newly applied clear coat and then scratch x to swirl x.

I've used both and scratch x is less aggressive. Even marketed as such and plenty of user reviews to back me up on that. If you use scratch x with a cutting pad, it will be more aggressive than compound with a buffing pad.

OP can research those two. Use a foam applicator pad for it. Personally, I would wash, clay bar, scratch x, wipe clean, then Follow with polish and wax.

Thank you, all...

What if you were in a time pinch? Say you had 1 hour to procure material and get the paint off...

A detailer would be able to polish that off in seconds with a machine polisher, at least you were able to get it off with a compound.
