Poor article. Who cares about acceleration. Glad I canceled my Bronco order and bought an Eco diesel Sahara Wrangler. I have torque and no crappy steering rack.

I call BS. The one review they did the kid lied out of his rear, claiming the Bronco is roomier on the inside. I've been in both and the Bronco is on the Ranger chassis. It is a sardine can inside just like the Ranger. Our Gladiator and 392 has miles more room throughout the inside. The Jeep like the original icons Scouts, Broncos, and FJ40 are not built on a sub-compact chassis. The Bronco is closer in size to a Suzuki Samurai than a Wrangler. It's a really cool Bronco ii with a turbo charged lawn mower motor and EB styling cues.
Just me, but I think the JL seats are pretty comfortable. I do long drives in mine with no issues. Almost every other car I have or had I would need to get out and stretch often.

So maybe the Car & Drive article is crap. I watched this yesterday and have found these guys to be honest and on point. The zero to sixty time was just over 10 seconds in the bronco. The Jeep 4xe ate the bronco up. Hell my lifted 19 JLUR on 37s with heavy deadlock wheels is almost 2 seconds faster to sixty than the bronco they tested.

You got almost 2 seconds faster! which engine do you have? Also are you running 4.88 or 5.13? just curious

I have the 3.6 with 5.13 gears. Lifted with heavy steel bumper, winch, hard top and a heavy tire carrier. Zero to Sixty in 8.16 seconds.

Here is a question. if you want to go over 100mph, why would you get a Wrangler or Bronco? There are better cars for that. My thought is that the Wrangler is a slow speed specialist for nasty terrain.
Sometimes you have to drive hundreds or even thousands of miles to get to that terrain, not that I’m running 100+mph, but our JLUR on 37’s handles 85-90 mph on the freeway for hours with ease. On our last road trip we covered 2300 road miles, a 20 mph delta in average speed would have meant 11 more hours driving. I’ll take the extra day of wheeling every time.

I bought a Jeep for off-roading, not for 0-60mph showing off... Anyone that buys a Jeep to hit 100mph does not understand what a Jeep is designed to do.

Not to mention, Jeep has been building off road vehicles since 1941... Go watch the video below and you'll see for yourself that the Jeep far supersedes the Bronco with Flex capability and maneuverability.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe obliterated Ford Bronco with most powerful engine:
We felt 2.3T was underpowered during test drive, but it looks like even 2.6T is no match to Wrangler either.

what ever the biggest engine Ford got for Bronco - it is still laggy, lol 2.8T or 2.7T(correct) vs. 2.6T makes it even worse.

Today we tested Defender 2-door black-on-black. Very nice looking, but keeping it to look nice every day would be quite an effort. It had 3.0L Turbo inline 6, no air suspension. Same tech as Wrangler e-torque, so engine start/stop is flawless and imperceptible. It was very nice on the road and quite fast (sub 6 secs 0-60), gear shifts in manual mode were very quick and kind of fun. The A/C controls are a bit strange, but the handling on the paved and bumpy roads was outstanding. Of course as off roader - it is not very capable due to low profile tires and bunch of other reasons. Not a rock climber, but could handle moderate off road challenges. It did not have any fancy luxury items, pretty basic fabric interior, no power seats (has power lumbar support on driver seat), but well designed, quiet and functional. 360 view is very useful. Rear seats have way too much leg room, I would make it a bit smaller to gain the trunk space a little. It is a bit pricey, but still with in reach for some.
