Quick question I'm hoping someone with experience can help answer.

My son is going to buy a 2018 Jeep Wrangler with 11,000 miles on it tomorrow. Yesterday he found out its a Jeep from Canada and the warranty isn't any good in the USA. Has anyone had experience with this?

Doesn't make sense to me because I could be stationed in Canada, buy a Jeep and then be reassigned to the USA. I'm sure you understand my point.

Anyone?

Yes, FCA has been doing this for a number of years to protect dealers, by clamping down on cross-border vehicle buying, and circumvent the NAFTA laws that allow it.

There are exceptions for military personnel stationed across the border, temporary visitors needing to use a FCA dealership, and other categories.

The rest of us lose the warranty.

Yeah, someone must have brought it across.

There’s a high-end vehicle dealer in Burlington, WA, that brings in lease returns from Vancouver, BC. Their vehicles are amazing, but none have warranty.
