I'm a new owner so pardon my ignorance. Can I drive my jeep JL on the interstate with the back and side windows out as long as I have the soft top latched to the windshield frame?

Yep! There are several configurations:
  • Sunrider - all windows in, front portion of the top folded back (secure with velcro straps)
  • Safari - all windows out, top still up
  • Down - all windows out and top down all the way

Yes.
You can alo drive with soft top fully folded down on the interstate
Thanks been doing that. Just was not sure about having just the top up and all the windows out. Thank you.

Absolutely one of my favorite ways to ride doors off windows out safari mode. Keeps the sun off my Irish heritage basically allergic to sun hiny.
Lol!!! I Know the feeling I love the top all the way down but my 45 minute commute one way to work 4 days a week in the Florida sun is frying me! Going to try the safari style tomorrow. I also noticed a decrease in gas mileage with the top all the way down which is not surprising.

Yes, you can drive with the three back windows out on the Interstate. I do it often now, because of all of the sunburns I get when I have the soft top back in the "sunrider" position. That being said, you can also have it back in the full sunrider position. I would make sure to put the velcro straps around the rails like the video says.
