Can you disable the function that puts your Jeep in park when door is opened?

Can the Tazer disable this function? I thought it could. When your Jeep is in gear and you are moving and you open up your door the Jeep auto goes into park.

I looked at the manual and function list and did not see it. I thought it was the "parksense" function but that is the beeping.

The Tazer can't disable auto park.

When I bought my jeep they went to take it to fill up with gas before I left with it. The saleswoman got in it and it wouldn't move. SHe got out of the car white as a ghost and said she would be right back. I think she thought she somehow broke my new Jeep. Ended up she didn't close the door all the way. Sales manager had to come out and show her that feature. I bet she is still being made fun of for that.

I just got my jeep and ran into this thing today as I was trying to inch into my garage to make sure I wasn't hitting the top and had my door ajar a bit. And the car wouldn't move. I had no idea what was going on.

I guess it's a good safety feature once you know it's there.

I think you can disable it with a seat belt extender ; I use one to disable the chime for slow speed on my property.
