As far as I know it doesn't have a GPS antennae, but if you have an IPhone or an Android you can run your Maps app through the carplay and it won't cost you any additional money for your Jeep.

im pretty positive mines doesn't have a gps antenna. i have the 7 in uconnect. built in gps is only available for the 8.4 in unconnect. but as sean has said, you can just use apple maps or google maps to get around. its not that bad.

And besides, Google Maps is probably going to be more up to date than any map that was included with the car.

Yeah, that is a problem if you don't know how to cache the map data on your cell phone. Used to be that you needed a 3rd party app to be able to do that, but it's possible with Google Maps directly now.
