I have searched and looked around, and the discussions on battery bypass, diagrams, etc are lengthy and it was hard to find a simple answer to what used to be a simple question before ESS. I'm not sure there is agreement on the best method to jump the JL yet. I understand whatever method might depend on if the aux battery had actually failed or not, or that some electronics might not function right with certain methods. I realize I am exposing myself to criticism here from some members, but I am hoping we can get a sticky post that concisely instructs us on how to jump start the JL when it won''t start due to dead battery, so that we can drive to a dealer and get service.
