Would running just one quick disconnect cause any problems? Assume stock suspension. I can't see where the disconnected end would travel far enough to contact anything.

Depending on the length of your swaybar link.........I have seen them flip, when offroading

What could flip? One would be removed or tied back to the sway bar.

With just one side unhooked you risk the chance the hooked side will get to straight and potentially inverting so it would fold the wrong direction when the wheel came back up……..here’s pic of mine before I lengthened my links……..you don’t want it to get this straight…….

Disconnecting only the one side is like running a marathon with only one shoe…

No, you cannot OP. You wouldn't get full articulation with only one side disconnected either.

Well, I lost a bolt to a SB link on a run and had to remove that link. Left the other link on. JL drove like it did not have a SB but made it off the trail, through another two days of wheeling and a couple hours on the FWY home with no issues.

But, they are sold in pairs so I would use them both.
