Hello,

I am thinking of buying a set of Rubicon take-off wheels. The seller is 100 miles away and I need to pick them up from his place. So, I am wondering if I can lower my back seat and fit them in there, or do I have to rent a pickup truck? Please advise.

Thank you :)

Just wheels, they'll fit. I fit 5 Mopar Beadlocks in their boxes when I switched wheels. Had to put one in the front passenger seat.

4 tires should fit inside, but not 5. Do what @MtCamper suggested.

The guy that bought my Rubi takeoffs couldn't fit all 5. He had to come back for the 5th.

My buddy had a 2-door YJ. He insisted ANYTHING can fit in inside. He crammed an entire bedroom's worth of ikea furniture inside, including the mattress. It looked ridiculous, but it fit.
The only thing that did not fit, was when he tried to fit a hard top off of CL in there. I was like... so, the roof for your Jeep could not fit inside your Jeep? Hard to imagine that.

I fit (5) 37's in the back of my Rubicon with the rear seat folded down. 2 stacked behind the drivers seat, one diagonal behind the passenger. Two upright at an angle from the back.

If you have an impact wrench you could also swap all of the tires out on-site and then put your smaller Sahara wheels/tires in the back. Just watch your speed going home, your speedo will be off by about 3-4 mph on the highway.
