I have a 2 door hard top, and this is what I just closed out with this morning.
It's a mix of city/highway/hilly travel, with speeds up to 75mph when I drove from El Paso to Las Cruces for breakfast.

I have no clue how you Rubicon owners are getting this kind of MPGs. At 75 MPH on flat Florida highway in my Rubicon, it sits at 14.9 MPG. My current average is 13.4... completely stock, 400 miles on the ODO. Maybe it's the soft top? It rarely goes into 8th gear and rides at 2800-3200 RPM at 75.

A small lift and 35's will cut into your milage 2 points on average.

Well I now have 4100 miles on my JL Sahara and I’m aveaging over 21 MPG.
The avg MPG is showing right at 22.3 but the real math of gallons purchased is a hair over 21.
I don’t drive fast or hard just trying to break the engine in with a combination of highway and city driving but I’m amazed. I drove a 3.5 liter 2Dr Chevy Colorado for 13 years and this 4Dr Jeep is averaging only 1/2 MPG less. On the highway I’m getting close to the EPA 23.

I have the 8 speed automatic and the stock 255 size AT tires.
Will my gas mileage “tank” if I install Rubicon take offs?
I too get great milage...same stock as you. My husband has the JL Rubicon, manual trans and surprisingly only gets 18-19 hwy.

Just took my first trip with my 2018 Rubicon JL and the mileage stunk. 700 mile round trip and averaged 14.4. What a drag.

My JLUR is getting horrible MPG. With the stock tires I was only averaging 14 MPG per tank. On my JK with 38-40 inch tires and very heavy I was averaging 15-16 MPG.

I've now switched to 40s on the JL. Haven't calculated yet.
