This may be the dumbest question asked in a long time...so I apologize in advance...but could someone hold a JL key fob up to the start button, and start a jeep even if it's not that jeep's key fob? Or is each key fob 100% jeep specific?

Just wonder if going doorless and topless makes the JL more vulnerable to theft.

That would be a hell of a liability lawsuit for any stolen Jeep

"But judge, every Jeep will start with any Jeep key! It is FCA's fault my Jeep got stolen and they owe me 1 billion dollars and a new Jeep for my troubles!"

My old TJ key could start my buddy’s TJ, but his key couldn’t start mine. It was fun moving his Jeep around parking lots when I randomly bumped into him on our college campus. But I doubt that could happen now with the new tech.
