Camera wiring on genright tire carrier

Ive searched and havent found any info on how to feed the camera wiring thru the tubes, the problem is that the plugs dont fit thru the hole, has anyone installed their camera with the genright tire carrier?

I’m planning on doing it. You have to disassemble the camera cable to the minimum size, then use a step bit to enlarge the hole Genright puts in them for the wires. Open it up just enough that the new smaller camera wire end will go through and your in business.

They use welding wire as a fish wire FYI

No the factory wiring is long enough

Just just disassemble the camera wire to the maximum point you can without destroying it. It should be obvious what to do while you’re looking at it. Sorry I don’t have any pics.

Then enlarge the hole so it fits

Thanks thats what i thought, but i wanted to ask just to make sure there wasnt another way without enlarging the holes

Not that I’m aware of. Also you’ll need to re route the camera wire out through the upper hinge on the tire carrier for it to be long enough.

Well then you wouldn’t have to drill the hole bigger, just go right to the camera

You need to drill the hole in the tire carrier
