I have 35” Ridge Grapplers loaf range E and absolutely hate the ride but really like the tires if that makes any sense lol. I am desperately trying to find a hybrid or an AT tire in a 35” or 315. I know the KO2 is an option but would like other options as well. Currently on a 1.5” ST1 but installing the Mopar 2” on Thursday. I like the Grapplers but they are really heavy paired with the Mopar bead-locks. I need something lighter with more road manners.

KO2 315/70/17 or trail grappler 35x11.5r17 (an MT)
Are pretty much your only choices

If you're willing to go with a D rate tire there are many options.

Otherwise, in addition to the KO2, there is the TOYO MT that comes in a 315/70r17 C. They are very heavy at 76 pounds.

There is definitely a sweet spot in the market for more C rated 35” or 315 tires. Makes me wonder why manufacturers ignore this market when a lot of 35” buyers are doing it for the mall rubicon and never go on any sort of dirt patch.

Yep...especially large opportunity for a light or avg weight 37" load c mud terrain. Milestar offers the 38/13.50/17 in load C and BFG offers KM3 in 39" load C. NOBODY offers a 37" load C mud terrain.

I believe the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/75r17 are within a 1/2 inch of a 35, and available in a C. Although, with the new mopar lift, u might want to consider a light 37" tire, there seem to be more C load options available that size.

I think the majority of 35s end up on pick up trucks. This is probably the reason for the load E and F majority.

The reason you can’t get any C rating tires is Cost. It’s much much cheaper to make the tires in the higher load range rating that way they can be sold for all applications from a liability standpoint. Using a E instead of a C is a rough ride. The opposite is a huge liability.

you the c ply tire can still have a triple layer sidewall so will be very strong, but have more flex than an e ply, which when aired down will actually grab rocks and curl around weird angles better, can be really effective when tackling parking stops at the mall, or obstacles on trails.. I am running e and they are very stiff, if I could of gotten a solid 35” tire with aggressive tread, that was not noisy I would have done it.. the 315/70/17 KO2 is a great tire and comes in a C ply.. now that i know how stiff and heavy my nittos ridge grapplers are, I will definitely think harder about the KO2 next time around.. but like the opp I love the nittos, despite the flaws.. car drives straight down the lane, no noise at all, look great... and I can’t wait to get them in a trail.. just got them out in this week and heading out to the dessert for an over night trail run in a few weeks

that tire is only 33.86, my 35x12.5r17 ridge grapplers are 34.76, so full inch difference but I will say my 35s are huge in my opinion, can’t see how guys run 37s for daily drivers

Good Year Duratracs? They are not a true 35” but a 315. Great tire for the snow although highway there are some vibes. They looked better on my JK.
