I am having some trouble finding a video/tutorial on how to fix this. Not sure how it happened, but my knob/switch/etc. for my dom lights/headlights to the left of my steering wheel broke. I already found and received the new part but I need to figure out how to get the old one out.

^^Here's the part that I need to swap out, but I can't seem to find any videos on YouTube to run me through the fix. Does anyone know any of the top of their head that they can help me out on? Thanks!

Thank you!! I thought I had to pull that whole piece of trim off!
@J.boyd919

Consider applying blue painter's tape to the areas the pry tool will make contact with... doing this minimizes the chances of marking up the black plastic panel...

-Remember to move the red locking tab to locked position after you plug the new switch in!

So that switch comes out as a whole unit( there was no need to remove it's facing)...there are two pinch tabs top and bottom that hold it in. At this point you should just pinch the whole unit and pull it out(assuming you have the replacement) there is just one plug that seats into that assembly. So when pulling don't yank it enough where you will pull the plug and damage it. Good luck...it really is an easy piece to remove just have patience ...the two holes top and bottom in your picture are a good place to pinch with two pry tools then slide it out, unplug replug new one and push back in till you hear a click from the tabs seating.(behind dash plastics)...done.

Thank you for your feedback and reply
It is stuck In an an angle as initially it popped all in. It very challenging to pull it out straight at this point as the edge is stuck from one side and I don’t want to damage the edges or the existing switch before I get a new one.
will try to pull it out again.
Appreciate your help

I managed to pull it out and reinstall it successfully:) butnstill
Might need to replace it as the switch dial is not as smooth as it used to be.
Thanks for your hep.
