Ive taken my stock 2016 JKU Sahara to 108mph, and my stock 2021 JLU 80th to 102mph. The digital speedo keeps going. There is a function on the radio that records top speed. I will try to look for it and take a pic. It actually smooths out and levels out in the high 80s.

Ok so could not find an equivalent setting on the JLU that the JKU had to record the top speed. So I did the next best thing. I recorded it. Nice smooth flat road with no one in it in central florida. Look at the real time readings. 5000rpm, 6 mpg, digital and analog speedos seem to match up pretty well. Video stops at 108mph but on the pic I got 109mph, I tell you engine did not feel distressed, actually felt like it had much more. Ride feel was smooth!

Wow...that seems super fast in a Jeep to me. Honestly I don't like driving my JKU above 75 these days, but maybe my 392 will change my mind once it arrives. So here's my big question, I live in an area with a lot of twists and turns. In a regular car if you are going too fast you skid, and realize you just did something stupid. In a jeep will you skid or flop over?

Heck that is normal driving to and from Detroit on I94 or I96.

If you are driving 90 mph or so, you will get passed depending on the day. This is during thick traffic. There is no way for a cop to even pull out to chase you most of the time.

In my experience, the governor hits right at the ass end of the 1/4 mile. It doesnt die out, or lose any steam, just just doesn't go any faster. I was 704 in the first pic and 303 in the 2nd. Only difference between these two nights was the top was off in the 303 & about 20 degrees cooler temp outside w/ top on in the 704. Still stock everything 2021 392 JLU.

Nice, I need to get to the track - I’ve been racing random people at lights. Best takedown was an AMG c63. This Jeep is a total sleeper. I get WTF looks all the time.

Hah! I do the same thing, not sure who I've beat yet but I 100% agree about it being a sleeper. No one would ever suspect it!

Anyone done it? I'm talking bout pushing the pedal hard through the floor for at least 5 sec. after hitting 99. What happens?

On Youtube 2021 392 reviews they say speed limited to 98-99 mph, but on 2022 reviews they now say 112 mph. I was told it was the tires are speed limited, does 2022 come with different 35's that have a higher rating?

XR is limited to 110. Regular 392 is 99.

There have been a couple of recent posts on the FB 392 groups that they have just recently changed that, and now both the regular 392 and the XR 392 are limited to 99 and 97 respectively.

EDIT: I haven’t seen this confirmed, but apparently it is showing up on their XR build sheets.
