Where off road are all of you taking these Jeeps at those high speeds? I know of only a few places in the US where you can get over 100mph off road. I guess there are also paved closed course tracks too.

I’m routinely running 80 on the highway in my stock Rubi, but it definitely feels different than the trucks I’ve driven. Not unsafe, just different, like I’m having to push it hard to get/stay there.

I have taken every vehicle I have ever owned over 100mph, EXCEPT my wrangler 392 which I have had at 99mph on multiple occasions. Driving the Jeep fast isn’t the issue. It is perfectly stable accelerating at that speed it’s the slowing down and stopping where it reminds you it’s a Jeep!

My governor kicks in at 110, but I was going downhill
Hi there Tyson, I figure this is not real. No human in their right mind is going to pass a loaded bomb at 109mph. I drove tankers for over 18 years and it blows my mind what goes through the motoring publics brains when they pull these stupid, idiotic, and illegal stunts on public highways.

Nice job on the photoshop though!! ;)

I heard that the new Xtreme Recon option on the 392 has a 110 mph upgrade. Not that I’d ever do it

Are upgraded brakes in the modification pipeline?

There are many places that people drive fast on the street. I know that when I drove from LA to Vegas, I had the cruise set at 92 mph, was in the center lane and was getting passed by thousands of people from the fast lane and the slow lane.

In Michigan, headed to Detroit, speeds of 85 plus is the normal flow of traffic. So another 10 mph is literally nothing.

Absolutely. Here in Idaho we have 85mph speed limits so this means 95 at minimum. Truckers included.

Driving home from The UP of Michigan last night, cruise set at 85 and had people passing me all the time. Even passed a State Trooper, and he did not pull out. I think in northern Michigan were the speed limit is 75 mph, you must have to be closer to 90 mph before they are interested in pulling you over. Heck there were diesel trucks pulling big campers running 80+ mph.
