Once I mounted mine I noticed this as well. I’m thinking if I ever use these points for recover I’ll loop my tree strap behind both and connect the two ends to a tow rope with a shackle. You could of course connect the schackle directly to the tow hook but I’m pretty sure you would come away with a lot less red paint and possibly scratch up the bumper. If you are using a closed loop system, it will interfere, yes. Good eye.
With an open loop system, you’d of course be fine.
Horrible (dark) photo attached. Finger placed against recovery point and bar for reference.
Factor 55 Flatlink. They sell a couple different versions.@Seanst34 What are you using in lie of a standard winch hook?
The nice thing for the OEM bumper is it sears nicely under tension since there is no D ring to secure a hook to.you can buy the from $99 to $140 depending on colorLike it. Definitely caught my eye right away.
I’ll have to take a look. Thanks
But what happens if you need to winch someone that has a warn bar blocking their tow hooks? lolThe nice thing for the OEM bumper is it sears nicely under tension since there is no D ring to secure a hook to.you can buy the from $99 to $140 depending on color
D ring shackle. I carry two plus a tow rope and tree strap at all timesBut what happens if you need to winch someone that has a warn bar blocking their tow hooks? lol
Ah. Good idea. I may do the same setupD ring shackle. I carry two plus a tow rope and tree strap at all times
Mine came in today and went on right away. Absolutely love the look of it. Definitely needs a winch and some lights on it now.Warn low guard finally arrived yesterday. Mounted it along with a couple of KC LZR rounds
Yeah personally I like the low. Perfect once some lights are mounted. Mid is to high to me and forget about the high.Mine came in today and went on right away. Absolutely love the look of it. Definitely needs a winch and some lights on it now.
