Build has conflicting information

My order date was 7/1/21 for a 21 Willys JLU 2.0L loaded. Jeep chat says it has all parts gathered ready to hit production line (D1) status. My dealer says it has an estimated ship date date of 8/27. It seems someone has the wrong information.
Anyone have a similar experience?

I’m trying to gauge the Jeep’s arrival time because I have to fly into Nashville to pick it up to drive home (9 hr trip at least if driven).

They are both correct. When you are in D1 you get an estimated ship date. Jeep chat won’t give it out but the dealer will. There are a lot of variables as to when it will ship or arrive since it can be released for shipping on 8/27 but may take a few days for a train and then once off the train it could take a few days for a truck to be available to deliver it to the dealer. As an example, my Jeep had an estimated ship date of 8/6, and then once it has shipped it was given an estimated delivery date of 8/21-8/30.

Read this thread… you’re good. It’s a moving target with too many variables. You’ll be able to ballpark arrival at dealer, but you won’t know for sure until they call you to say it’s there ready for pickup.

Estimated ship date is actually usually closer to build date, not ship date.

Also estimated ship date can change multiple times. Many members have had theirs change by as much as a few months.

Well it appears to progressed to the Trim stage. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer.
