Just finished up a set of budget door hangers, I used gate hinges found at the local hardware store, cost was about 40$. I taped the ends to prevent scratches while hanging the doors into them. They aren't real pretty but they work.

What did you do to prevent them from swinging? Those holes look pretty small compared to the JL hinges I'm surprised they fit in there. Could just be the pics though.

I used mini bungee cords hooked into the door latch. If you look closely you can see them in the pictures

I've heard those ruin the window seals, which is why I made the ones that use the pins. No experience with them though.

This is a really cool idea. I would like to see someone double these up so you can hang all 4 doors in the same location.

donnyb313, or anyone else who has used these. I know this is a couple years old. I have the same hinges and am getting ready to set up my door hangers. I did a quick test fit on the door hinge to the hinge strap and found it to be loose. Is the fit on yours loose also, and if so has this been an issue? Overall how has your set up been working?
