Oh don't get me wrong, I really take advantage of ESS in my daily drive, but I probably wouldn't do that on a trail.

I don't think being on a trail should be a big concern if it's true that ESS is automatically disabled when in 4-wheel Low.

Well so far the only off road driving I've done is a very light trail and some overland driving, so I've only done 4Hi, and as far as I know ESS is still active then, unless you hit the disable button.

I was told today that you could not order a 3.6 auto in any model. I was told that the order banks might possibly open up mid October, but the dealer was unsure if this was a set date.
