I thought “Jeep people” weren’t so easily triggered, butthurt, and whiny. It’s just a joke; have a chuckle, enjoy your Jeep and chill out.

Some of us seem like that jilted boyfriend that can’t get over a breakup from years ago and are still fixated on their ex who’s moved on and has a new healthy relationship.
We dont all live in a weed legal state, can't sit around high all day "chilling out" and laughing at jokes...???

Don’t forget the first Bronco “Sport” from 84–90 . Sorry for the pic but it’s about the only place you can find one now- RIP

You’re right?. I’d completely forgotten about those beasts-perhaps the forerunner of the new Sport.?

They of course put the Bronco badge on the POS . But it’s rollover rate was even worse than a CJ7 although being lower. Some insurance companies (Geico for sure) wouldn’t insure it, huge amount of lawsuits. The PR was so bad that the second gen in 91 was rebadged “Explorer” . How did that name change work out ? Same problems, same bad PR, the famous Firestone-Explorer disaster, more lawsuits. Somehow the name survived that time.

Meanwhile, Broncos are stacking up at the Ford dealers like cord wood.

I just saw my first commercial advertising Bronco incentives — 2.9% financing AND $1000 cash back.

You don’t see the factory eating profit margin in $1000 bites when their vehicles are selling like hotcakes.
I feel like this is made up. No national offers from Ford on the Bronco and there’s record numbers of Wrangler’s on lots, not Bronco’s.

That's the Bronco II. Like the Mustang II, it was a downsized POS that failed in the marketplace.

The Mustang was able to recover but the Bronco II was so bad they ditched the name entirely and released the Explorer.

Yet the Explorer badge survived when the PR was so much worse to the point of being the butt of jokes like the one posted. A fellow driver used essentially the same line offering to buy the dispatcher his choice of a Ford Pinto or Explorer with Firestone tires way back when. Edit— curiosity got me to look up the top 10 automotive scandals. #5– Pinto’s exploding gas tanks. #8– Explorer’s Firestone tires disaster. Per hotcars.com. Two out of the all time top 10 go to Ford ??

Some historians claim the Mustang 2 was a huge success, selling well and saving the Mustang nameplate.

HA, never owned a Ford. Funny how things stick from when you're a kid. The old man had a Mercury once, biggest heap ever. Never willing to chance it.
You do realize that Jeep has Chrysler roots, a company that has long been known to produce junk. Candidly my 2018 Ford Edge has had virtually no problems while my 2020 Wrangler has had at least 4 significant issues.

Glad you're a good sport... I was just poking fun. As a kid, I wanted a Bronco or a Blazer... preferably the Blazer... but I would have taken anything... I ended up with a Honda Prelude as my first vehicle... but I can say, I bought, paid and maintained it myself. Fast forward, I owned a Ford, but only recently... it was their Ken Block inspired Focus RS, it was completely made in Germany... by their Ford Racing Division in Saarlouis. (Not your traditional Ford) Believe me, I have/had no regrets, it was an awesome car.... but I stuck to the plan, eventually sold it, used the proceeds to purchase the Gladiator.
