we rented a Jeep years ago and drove Broken Arrow in Sedona. We rented a Jeep a few months ago and were told by the rental agency that we needed a special pass to drive broken arrow. We had so much fun a few months ago that we decided to buy our own Jeep and want to go back and do broken arrow again. Everywhere I read online says we only need a red rock pass.

Can anyone say for sure if a red rock pass is sufficient and if not, where do I get this special permit?

A pass is only required to use the parking area. The trail itself is no charge. If you don't need to park (I never do) then just hop on the slick rock and enjoy.

Been to Broken Arrow multiple times, was just there in December. No pass needed. The only place you need a pass for is Soldier’s Pass because they limit the amount of vehicles on the trail.
