Thanks

I had the 37" tires stock, then with a 2.5" lift, now the 4" lift. The E-Rated tires are much stiffer than the factory C-Rated Rubicon tires, but they seem to track better on the highway. I really wish I had gone with the D Rated 37x12.50 rather than the E Rated 37x13.50's. My wife now has my old 2.5" lift with D-Rated 35's and the ride is much smoother.

As for the Skyjacker lift, I ditched almost all the components that came with it other than the springs/shocks. I will not cut into the lowest point in the Jeep to install the included cam bolts, and in my experience with the JK frame side track bar brackets always tend to work their way loose if not welded in place. I have since installed a ROAM high steer kit in the front(Rasied Trackbar/Draglink) and a ROAM axle side trackbar bracket & adjustable trackbar in the rear. I have a high clearance version of their long arm that I'm in the process of installing that should get my caster back in spec and re-center my axles(front/back.)

The ride is ok for now, but jumping back in my wifes Jeep I realize how nice/soft she has it. As soon as we put a set of bypass shocks on her 2.5" lift it completely transformed the ride. I should be ditching the Skyjacker shocks fairly soon for a similar set to what my wife has(Or wake up in the middle of the night and steel hers )
Thanks for this info!!! I'm bored waiting for my order to come in, so I'm starting a parts list. It sounds like the setup on your wife's is the way to go. What kind of 2.5" lift and bypass shocks did you install on hers? Are the 37's on her jeep the D rated 37x12.50 also?

Unfortunately she has 35's(D-Rated), but there are plenty of D Rated 37's if you stick with the 12.50" width.
She is using Prototype @ROAM bypass shocks. If you are waiting for your Jeep I would keep an eye out for when they are officially released.
I have never been as impressed with a shock right out of the box. I had a similar experience with set of King coilovers on a friends JK about five years ago, but it was too long ago to really compare I just remember it feeling like riding down the street on a Lazy Boy compared to the setup it replaced.
Since then I've tried numerous shocks/coilovers, and while some have improved the ride none were as night and day as those two(I guess you get what you pay for)

Just finished up with my new JLU wrangler Sport S, 35x12.5 Toyo Open Country AT II on 17 inch Fuel Vapors. Custom paint on fenders and hard top to bright white from the standard black. Nfab sidestep. 2 inch leveling kit. Took off the euro wheel wells. I’m loving it

I want to do the same thing to the black on my Sahara. Can I ask what it ran you price wise?
I received a great deal from local body shop. $700 but I also had wheel wells done to recently for $300 additional. So total $1000. Here are some more recent pics.

I think this is the first pic I've seen where I thought the stock Sahara wheels look good!
Thanks! I actually really like my stock wheels and plan on keeping them when I put on my AT tires.

Has anyone painted the inserts black on their white grill? Trying to decide if I go with the black grill or just paint the grills black. Thanks

I have seen a few with the grill painted black and it looked good. I will be spraying mine myself again like it did on my JK with rattle can of that textured paint. It cam out looking really good
