CHECK IT OUT! Mine is doing it too! I only have 1500 miles on mine and she's only 2 months old... It is getting more yellow by the day. It seems to be more noticeable on the drivers side. I don't even want to put it out in the sun! I don't mind getting a tan just not the grill on my Jeep!!! Will see what the dealer has to say when i take it in.

I have the same issue. Local dealership where I did not buy it, said it probably just needs polished. Although they were very nice. Dealership I bought it from asked me to bring it in to look, but that is a good bit away. So it will be awhile before I can take it there.

My Jeep only has approx. 500 miles on it. I've only had it a couple of weeks. I just didnt notice it when first picking up the Jeep. I did notice it a few days after.

Thoughts on this @JeepCares? I would have no problem just having a black grill as opposed to repainting, or whatever, this one. But whichever is easiest, i would like to know the best path for remediation. I would assume being so close after purchase, this would be a warranty item.

Thanks in advance.

Jeep will authorize a repaint to white, this will keep warranty in place. I suggest dropping off the grill for the repaint, otherwise they may try to paint blend onto your hood. The black grill is not on the table and a black repaint will not have a warranty. BTW, I understand they will send a replacement grill for the repaint, I think that these are have black primer, that will show rock chips.
I’m holding out for a better solution, like a factory painted white grill. I believe the factory finish is far superior to any dealer paint repair (just opinion not fact).

I'm starting to see this issue as well. Will they let you just drop off the grill rather than dropping off the whole Jeep(After the have inspected it on the vehicle of course?)

I would much rather just take off the grill myself and drop it off to them for paint. I don't have much faith in dealers, and for most issues I would rather pay the money to take care of it myself. Paint on the other hand is not something I am setup, or willing to do.

FCA will send a new grill, my dealer refused to paint then install. Each dealer is different, good luck. They should be able to paint and them swap out.

I went to my dealerships service center and they explained to me the grill is made of white plastic...so they ordered a new unpainted grill and i will drop my jeep off to have the new grill painted and mounted...they will give me a loner until the process is complete

Do you mind posting some photos once it's installed?

Hi jawest12,
I understand why this would be frustrating. Your grille will be repaired under the terms of your warranty. If you would like any assistance once you bring your Jeep in for this repair, you can send us a private message and we would be happy to help you out.

It's black with a white finish sprayed on. Here's the back of mine after it was repainted.

Nice.. it should last a lot longer as long as it has a good paint job. I am going to assume the original turns yellow because its molded white plastic and not painted

I guess I didn't make myself clear, this is the original factory grill. It is not white plastic, it is black with the factory white finish sprayed on.

Ok. Got you...i have to check my grill out to see if its the same because that would mean that it was poorly painted from the factory

Seems more like a gel coat than factory paint, very durable just changing color
