Breaking in a new wrangler jl?

Does anyone have any suggestions on breaking in a new wrangler jl? Oil changes, miles, type of oil? Driving speeds and rpms? Any advice would help. Thank you.

Do yourself a favor and read your owner's manual. It tells you what you should and should not do during the break-in period.

No cruise control for the first 600 miles, vary RPMs during that period.

You'll get different camps on this one, from do what the manual recommends (moderate driving for the first 60 miles, then 55 or less for the first 300...with occasional wide open throttle periods) to the "drive it like you stole it" group.

That said, I followed the manual for this one. Made sure to vary the speed and kept it at 55 or less for the first 300. After that, I just drove it normal. From my understanding, the 55 or less is more for the drive components than the engine.
