After first real drive (we have 150 miles on it) we are experiencing a weird feeling with the car. When we are going like 45-55 and apply gas the car does this tugging (kind of like it is shifting but it is not shifting) feeling like every 5 seconds.

This concerns me.

Has anyone experienced this
JULR Specā€™d out 2.0 turbo, no mods to it (yet)

I did as well, I believe it is the computer learning how you drive. Mine was doing it on the highway with The sky too open and windows out. Had under 200 miles at the time. Has not done it since. 3200 miles now.

So one day it just went away?

I wonder if it's just throttle lag. I don't know about the JLs yet, but the newer FCA cars I've driven had an enormous throttle lag. Kinda hoping the JL doesn't >>

Yep, only noticed it on one highway drive while using cruise control. Felt like someone was tapping the brakes every few seconds. Didn't know if it was because I had the sky touch open with the rear windows out. Thought maybe drag from the rear window. Drove 2200 miles on a vacation towing a small trailer and never noticed it after the first time.

I can think of two possibilities:
  1. A/C compressor is cycling on & off. Turn off the HVAC, and see if the problem goes away.
  2. The ECU is cycling between lean & rich to determine if the catalytic converter is good. I have noticed this test in other vehicles as the ECU attempts to check that the rear o2 sensor is functioning correctly. Once it determines that everything is OK, the lean/rich test cycle will stop and everything will be normal.

Just joined and this is my first post lol. Experiencing exactly the same issue cruising anywhere from 45-60 mph.

Anyone ever figure out what was causing that?
I have 17000 miles on mine and it just started doing this.

Same problem here. Started this week @ 7,500 miles. Again 45-60mph, only when part throttle, not on throttle lift, or light braking. I put it in Manual mode to see it was shifting, but same problem. I think it is the etorque electric motor/starter going into brake/re-gen mode. Calling the dealer tomorrow. Really annoying to drive now.
