Hello everyone,

The springs in this kit are designed at a slight bow, specific to the driver and passenger side, to maximize performance. It is important to ensure the upper and lower isolators are properly seated and aligned. If you believe there is excessive bowing and/ or your lift is not performing properly, please send us a private message. We would like to ensure this is addressed by a certified dealer.

Can you all comment on the conflicting directions in the instructions? There is an insert that says to use the grey spring isolators, however step 20 says to reuse the stock upper and lower isolators. What should the dealership be doing? Installing the new grey ones or reusing the stock?

I'm thinking this kit was put together in China which would explain the contradictory instructions.

I installed this kit for a customer today and there is no way the bowing is normal. It rides great, and it's not rubbing any suspension components, but it's just not "right."
The factory JL springs stand flat on a table on their own, but as you can see in the pic below the Mopar 2" springs had to be held in place just so they wouldn't fall. The bottom of the springs when installed should sit flat on the spring pad (I tried both the factory, and the gray for a customer b/c I wasn't happy with the bow. I even tried switching them left to right to see if it made any improvement) Both pads had the inside touching where as the outside had a good 1/2"+ before it would settle flat on the pad. As you can imagine once I put load on the spring it started to bow outwards so that it would sit flat on the pad.

Did you try it with the rear springs?

The rears did sit flat on the perch and on the floor. They had a slight rearward bow(Normal since it didn't include any coil correction wedges/plates to make them sit flat)

its pretty obvious its going to be awhile until the issue is recognized, instead they rather say they reinvented the design of coil springs. would love to see jeep make a video showing how bowing springs maximize performance.

They better pray there isn't a failure that gets someone injured or worse.

@JeepCares Jasmine, can you confirm if Jeep has recalled this lift kit from retailers due to the concerns over the "bow" almost everyone who installed this lift is experiencing? Further, if it was "designed at a slight bow", why is there no mention of it in the installation literature? I would think with the number of concerned customers and potential liabilities Jeep would have no problems issuing a statement clarifying that the "bow" is normal or acceptable.

Many Jeep owners look forward to your reply. Thank you.

It hasn't been pulled from shelves...someone on here made that up because their dealer cant order it right now. It's just massively backordered because of initial demand

I was implying that a formal statement from Jeep speaking to this issue would be a little more appropriate than a generic statement from a "Jeep social care specialist."

Whats weird is I had one dealer tell me they were sold out, and the current status was "under development." I told him that didn't make sense since it had already been "developed," but if they are changing things what he said makes sense(Not that I really trust what most dealers tell me.)
