Good morning guys, I’ve tried searching and couldn’t come to a direct answer. I’ve upgraded my suspension to the mopar lift kit and 35 inch tires ko2’s with 17 inch black rhino arsenal. What I’ve noticed is that when I go over little bumps the steering wheel shakes about a inch to both sides almost like a death wobble. The ride almost feels like I’m riding on a water bed compared to the stock OEM suspension is this normal or should I get it checked out by the shop who installed it?

Each 35-inch KO2s weighs 25 lbs more than a stock 32-inch tire, and chances are the new wheels are also heavier, so you are bound to feel all that added unsprung weigh in the handling, However, shaking is never normal.

Have you checked the PSI on your tires?

Otherwise, it sounds like there might be something left loose.

The psi is showing at 37 psi, could it be that I need a aftermarket steering stabilizer?

Do you guys think I should get a aftermarket track bar or a waste?

Yeah 37 is not off by much.

How long have you had the lift on the vehicle?

The steering on 2013 JK Rubicon shook, especially when braking on uneven surfaces. It had a Mopar lift and 35-inch General Grabber MTs I had installed 10,000 miles before. Each one of those tires weighed a whopping 80 lbs! Turns out the steering tie rod and drag link were shot from trying to control all that added weight.

The solution was to replace them with a beefier YETI set from SteersSmart. I also threw in a Fox stabilizer for good measure. The Jeep steered beautifully after that.

I just had them installed yesterday and to my opinion the stock suspension feels more safer at the moment.

Have you noticed if the shaking worsens when you stomp on the brakes?

Go to a bumpy road and stomp on the brakes; see if the steering wheel pulls left and right. If so, you have “bump steer.”

If you do, the bad news is you have bump steer. The good news is it will be easy for the dealer to replicate.
