Hi everyone,

Ian here with Borla Exhaust. I hope you're all doing well!

We are currently in need of a stock 2021 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392 for exhaust development. Our R&D facility is located in Oxnard, California. We would need your Rubicon 392 in our facility for three weeks time. In exchange for lending us your vehicle, you would receive an exhaust system from us.

If you or someone you know would be interested in working with us, please contact us for more details! You can private message me here or email me at [email protected]. We'll need to ask a few questions and confirm some details regarding your Rubicon 392 to make sure it meets the conditions that we need.

If multiple people reach out, we will prioritize by location and availability.

Thank you!

I would if I could. Please tell me your going to work on a climber system. This stock muffler, as cool as it is, won’t last long in the rocks.

Mine is on order, else I’d find a reason for a road trip! Good looking out to find a forum member to loan their 392 out. I agree, I hope it sits a bit higher than the factory one!

Happy to see you guys on working on a 392 system. I've had Borla's climber systems on a JK and last JL. Hopefully you will offer a 392 climber as well. The switchable muffler is cool, but a nice middle of the range throaty sound is all I'm looking for.

Have always liked your exhaust systems, and have owned several, but lending a Wrangler 392 to someone for 3 weeks! in exchange for an exhaust system would be a hard pass.

That’s 3 weeks being without your 392 Jeep in the hands of strangers in exchange for an exhaust that would cost maybe $2000 at most.

Average cost for a rental Jeep in SoCal is currently around $320 per day. Is that going to be a $6700 exhaust system!?😂

3 week is about $1800, but that's not a 392 or even a rubicon. I agree with you, that's why most company just went out and buy one.

I see nothing less than around $1300 per week where I’m at. And a $320 daily fee for anything less than a week(Enterprise). Regardless, not a good trade off in my opinion. They might get someone to do it, though.

Any ETA? I think the 392 has a very good exhaust for stock but could use a little refinement in tone. Are you looking to increase the volume or just modify the tone?

And hopefully still have control of baffles/valves with factory button.

For sure. I have a neighbor who complains about my 392 Wrangler and my BMW X3M Comp. (which isn't nearly as loud). He and I are friends but he drives a 10 year old Ford Explorer so his priorities are elsewhere. However, I'm an adult so I use the quiet button for him (on both the Jeep and BMW).
