I've spent a lot of money and effort quietening my Jeep for daily driving but I would like to change my exhaust to dual black exhaust tips. I don't want to change the sound though.

Should I get a bolt on black exhaust tip?

Should I paint the current exhaust black (matte black)

Is there a dual tip black exhaust I can add that won't increase the sound?

Thanks a lot.

I learned long ago that the exhaust tip is the first thing to get damaged on the trail, so I don’t bother with it any more.

Most dual exhausts I’ve seen come with the entire axle-back muffler assembly. If you don’t take your Jeep off-road, I’d look for a dual tip that bolts right at the very end of the pipe. This way you don’t screw around with the sound.

Something like this:

You might have to cut the factory tip, though, so it doesn’t hang too low.

Good luck.
