Seems to be a confusion as to what's going on here. It's a different grading system depending on the fastener.
In this day of age, why anyone uses SAE on a vehicle is beyond me as the Metric equivalent is available for the same price. It's almost as some old white guy engineer never decided to switch over (I'm an old white guy engineer, so I know).
McMaster Carr is your friend. You'll need to know the length, diameter and thread pitch (which those basic tools to measure it, can be found at Harbor Freight). Measure it out and then find it there and order a box of what you need. You can even order 12.9 for metric.
