I have whacked my OEM black fenders on a number of things (including a few tree trunks) and am amazed at how durable they are! When I first bought mine, I was seriously thinking about getting color matched fenders and top- but over the past couple of years the black has grown on me (especially after seeing the kind of abuse they can take).
