I hear ya. This was my first custom ordered vehicle - I didn't know you could even do this with a vehicle. Needless to say, I will be thinking long and hard about the next one!

When I went to order, I had a good quote going, but it looked like I wasn't going to get what I really wanted. Turbo motor, tan soft top... I would have been waiting till next year for all that lol. Just bought one off the lot and looks like it was a good choice.

Ordering off the lot really isn’t an option for me because I like manuals and my dealer sucks. I envy those with good dealers

The one Manual at my dealer when I got my Jeep, was a Maxed out Sahara with everything except the auto, so well over my price range. My dealer sucked in that aspect too lol.

At least for the manual part.

Jury is still out on the dealer (technically he's the inventory manager). He's good face to face, knows who I am (despite only three interactions together), but is essentially unreachable unless you go and find him at the dealership.

Big test will be if he honors our agreed upon price from February (signed paper and everything) that was hammered out before the price increases.

The other test of course is the lease deal.

+1 on the Manual...but I have driven a couple different Manuals at my local dealer (Sport and Rubicon)...my problem is the number of doors on those JLs...as they had 2 too many doors. LOL

Yeah, one has to realize that where they live will dictate what the dealer stocks - they want to move inventory (duh). Thus, in NYC, I can expect JLU Autos and not much else.

I sure hope it works out for the best Chris. Don't know how the hell you would handle it all turning to shit right at the last moment.

lol, if price was no issue I'd have a fully loaded Rubicon, but... since I'm not the high man on the totem pole, I had to go with what was reasonably affordable.
