Ok, so I thought I wanted to black out my Sahara. So I ordered these Mopar grill inserts and fog light bezels to replace my factory silver ones. I painted them with SEM Trim Black satin paint (had very good reviews for longevity). After installing the black parts and driving around for a week, I’ve decided I like the contrast of the silver better. So here they are painted and ready to go!

I’ll take $175 for the set shipped to you within the lower 48. $150 if you pick them up in Charlotte NC. They look brand new.

How difficult were they to install? About how long did it take? I would be interested in having them shipped to Philly area.

Not too difficult @SteelerJeep. Plastic rivers and metal clips hold the grill in place. Then there are clips and torx screws on the back of the grill. The plastic air dam, plastic end caps, and plastic bumper cover need to come off to access the inside of the bumper cover for the fog bezels to pop out. Lots of plastic rivers and 7mm screws. Took me about an hour and 15 minutes the first time. About an hour to put the silver back in place. PM for details if you want them.

My Sahara came with the silver inserts @FalKor JLU. I wanted the blacked out look so I ordered extra ones unpainted, black. That way I wouldn’t have to paint the originals and in the event I wanted to go back to silver I could. I then painted the unpainted ones a satin black. I didn’t like it black as much as I thought, so I reinstalled the silver ones. Send me a PM, in the event SteelerJeep passes on them.

Any chance these are still available? I would be happy to get them out of your way.

Hello! New to the forums and just got my first Sahara. I want to black out my grill exactly like yours. I purchased the same paint that you said you used, but was curious if you could go into detail on your painting process. I plan on removing the original parts and painting them. Looking forward to your response, thank you!

Just out of curiosity, why buy new inserts and paint them? Why not just paint the silver ones you have?

What type of paint did you use? I’m a looking for a gloss black but am afraid it won’t be environmentally robust enough
