I prefer black wheels just because it is easier for me to touch up rock rash. I like the look of many other finishes, but black (flat) works best for me.I was actually contemplating the same thread. If you look around when you drive you will notice that 99% of new vehicles come with chrome or similar wheels. Why are we so infatuated w black everything? Tires are already black so, black wheels too? Don’t get me wrong, I like the look, just curious as to why there aren’t many other options out there. It’s OEM wheels or black....
For me, as example, I had silver Pintlers on an earlier red JK and now have black Pintlers on a different one and find that it was much easier to deal with rock rash on the silver ones. The reason being, since they were silver, the rash wasn't really noticable so I easily ignored it.
