I like that, I'm tired of BLACK WHEELS/W CHROME NUTS--

Mine are the classic "POLISHED"/w raised letter tires--

Of course, then it's notta jeep--it has to be BLACK/WHITE/LIFTED/W BLACK/WHITE WHEELS and 37" tires--

I won't let RUBY see this !

I was actually contemplating the same thread. If you look around when you drive you will notice that 99% of new vehicles come with chrome or similar wheels. Why are we so infatuated w black everything? Tires are already black so, black wheels too? Don’t get me wrong, I like the look, just curious as to why there aren’t many other options out there. It’s OEM wheels or black....

I prefer black wheels just because it is easier for me to touch up rock rash. I like the look of many other finishes, but black (flat) works best for me.

For me, as example, I had silver Pintlers on an earlier red JK and now have black Pintlers on a different one and find that it was much easier to deal with rock rash on the silver ones. The reason being, since they were silver, the rash wasn't really noticable so I easily ignored it. My black ones are just trashed, even with all the paint pen lipstick I keep putting on. :)

I like the classic look of polished and am seriously thinking about running the Mickey Thompson Classic III's in polished on my new red 19 JLUR. Here is a TJ with this classic look.

ATM I do not have $1500 for wheels and tires, but I will not be going black wheels
I have a few favorites...none of which are black...black wheels looks so blah
Fuel Anza in grey
Mammoth canyons or mammoth 8s in anthracite w polished lip

There’s a Ocean Blue 2DR in one of these threads with Pro Comp 69s (look like MT Classic III) that looks badass. Like sitting in 1985 and seeing a Popular Mechanics article for the CJ7 of the future.
